TITLE:  Career and Tech. - Emergency Medical Technician EMT) - Teacher for 2025-2026 School Year

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  10 Month

REPORTS TO:  Career & Tech Building Principal

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:  Provide training to juniors and seniors with classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to complete their required EMT training program while preparing them to take the NYS EMT Certification exam.  

 

• Communicate with parents, teachers, school counselors, and others involved in the education of the student
• Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites
• Monitor student's academic progress including, but not limited to, progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills
• Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
• Keep current with changes and developments in electrical industries
• Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience as an EMT

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Hold current certification as a NYS EMT or higher.

- Anticipated or current Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC) Certification 

-Have or be eligible for Emergency Medical Services 7-12 Career & Technical Education certification
